Achieving Dreams

Achieving Dreams strives to increase the ability of youth and adults to grow and succeed in our community by providing funding for their participation in organized activities that engage in the positive building of self-esteem, personal development, artistic inspiration and education.

About Us

In these times of families struggling to make ends meet, it is difficult to balance the necessities. Often times the arts, music, sports, and educational opportunities are sacrificed. Years of participation in these activities can come to an abrupt stop because of financial woes. This can snuff out hopes, dreams, and ambitions for bright or even brilliant careers.

Achieving Dreams is a vessel for reaching out to the community to serve a mission of hope and offer youth and adults an opportunity to continue in organized activities and education that enlightens and improves the human condition.

Volunteers of Achieving Dreams are people willing to band together to help these youth and adults succeed. Our program is entirely comprised of volunteers. All proceeds are focused on our mission to help families afford meaningful and positive experiences in organized activities and education.

What our volunteers have to say....

"AD has been a complete life changer for us. We are able to give our kids opportunities that we thought we could only dream about. The possibilities are endless!! Thank you Achieving Dreams."

"If it wasn't for Achieving Dreams, my 4 girls wouldn't be able to be in elite club sports. Not only that, but we have been able to participate in both high school sports and activities along with the club sports."
C.S.G.
"It has been a godsend for us. We are able to let our son do what he loves participate in activities and not worry about how to pay for it."

Non-Slip Shoes for Restaurant/Food Service

Not all non-slip shoes are created equal.  Achieving Dreams requires Non-Slip Shoes designed for Restaurant/Food Service environments.  They should be all-black, closed-toe, and closed heal shoe.  This type of shoe is acceptable at all the venues we volunteer at.

A general non-slip shoe, such as a running shoe, is designed to provide traction on slippery surfaces in a variety of settings, such as wet sidewalks or industrial flooring.  Non-Slip Shoes for Restaurant/Food Service are specialized for the unique hazards of kitchens and dining areas, including greasy floors, spilled liquids, and constant movement and/or standing for long hours.

While you can purchase Restaurant/Food Service Non-Slip shoes for as little as $30 at places like Walmart or Payless, if you plan to volunteer frequently, it may be a good idea to invest in a high-end shoe brand.

The sole of acceptable shoes should look similar to the below image.  NOTE: The sole includes a pattern for liquid channeling.
