Non-Slip Shoes for Restaurant/Food Service

Not all non-slip shoes are created equal.  Achieving Dreams requires Non-Slip Shoes designed for Restaurant/Food Service environments.  They should be all-black, closed-toe, and closed heal shoe.  This type of shoe is acceptable at all the venues we volunteer at.

A general non-slip shoe, such as a running shoe, is designed to provide traction on slippery surfaces in a variety of settings, such as wet sidewalks or industrial flooring.  Non-Slip Shoes for Restaurant/Food Service are specialized for the unique hazards of kitchens and dining areas, including greasy floors, spilled liquids, and constant movement and/or standing for long hours.

While you can purchase Restaurant/Food Service Non-Slip shoes for as little as $30 at places like Walmart or Payless, if you plan to volunteer frequently, it may be a good idea to invest in a high-end shoe brand.

The sole of acceptable shoes should look similar to the below image.  NOTE: The sole includes a pattern for liquid channeling.
